Texas Tech freshman Amier Washington (LCM) had a breakout game for the Red Raiders in their 34-14 win over California in the Independence Bowl in Shreveport. He had such a good game that Red Raider fans are asking why he hadn’t played all season.
The 6-2, 275-pound defensive lineman, four tackles for a loss, three sacks and a forced fumble in one of the top overall performances by the defense this season.
He only played in one game this season before the bowl game and he had to come off the bench in the bowl game before making the big impact for the defense. Hopefully he earned the right for more playing time next season. BOWL SCHEDULE
