On January 27, 1966, a son was born to Harold Donald and Rosa Mary Green and was named Harold Wayne Green. He accepted Christ and was baptized early in life at St. Paul Methodist Church in Orange, Texas. He graduated from West Orange-Stark High School in 1984.
At WOS, Harold was named “All American”. He ran track and played football and basketball. In the 400-meter race he accomplished his best time of 46.9 seconds during his senior year. After receiving more than forty football scholarships from Baylor, Texas Christian, Texas Tech, Lamar, McNeese, Arkansas, and Oklahoma State universities, Harold chose Oklahoma State University where he obtained his bachelor’s degree. He received the Doak Walker Award for track during his time at Oklahoma State University.
Harold served in the United States Army for four years. He received the Army Achievement Award, Good Conduct medal, the Army Service ribbon, and Overseas Service ribbon. Harold was a dedicated worker in the Veteran’s Administration where he enjoyed helping veterans obtain civilian employment.
On May 02, 2009, Harold married Angela Green and became a father to Dennis D’Andre Levine. They enjoyed years of laughter and love.
Preceding him in death are his mother Rosa Mary Green; maternal grandparents, Robert Earl and Pearl Smith; and paternal grandparents, Marie and Harold Calvin Green.
Left to cherish his memories are his father, Harold Donald Green; wife, Angela Green; son, Dennis D’Andre Levine; brothers, Donald Paul Green, Derick Green and his wife Kevreonda, and Calvin Green and his wife Yolanda; father-in-law, Dennis M. Levine; sister-in-law, Denise Levine; brother-in-law, Job Levine; nieces, Kavinitra Green, Tiavah Green, and Dereka Green; nephews, Derek Green, Jr. and Calvin Green, Jr.; maternal aunts, Suzie Murray and her husband Clarence, and Linda Kay Cleveland; uncles, Robert Earl Smith, Eddie Lee Smith, and Willie Ray Smith; paternal aunts, Dorothy Green, Jeanette Green and Sheila Mae Marshall and her husband Eddie, and a host of great nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.
Funeral services’ will be held on Saturday, December 23, 2023, 11:00 am, at St. Paul C.M.E Church, located on 1201 N. 4th Street Orange, TX 77630.
