
The last day to file for the Republican Primary in March was Monday, December 11, 2023. Filing closed at 6pm.
There will be four contested races. They include Orange County Sheriff, Constable in Precinct 2 and 4, and for OC Republican Chair.
Rodney Townsend will run unopposed for Judge in County Court of Law #2, taking over for the retiring Judge Troy Johnson. Assistant District Attorney Krispen Walker will replace the retiring John Kimbrough. And Octavia Guzman will replace the retiring Karen Fisher as Tax Assessor-Collector. No one signed up to run on the Democratic ballot.
