Firefighters from Bridge City with assistance from Little Cypress and West Orange battled a house fire in the 3400 block of Briggs Rd. Monday afternoon.
Heavy smoke poured from under the eaves and the roof. They were able to stop the fire with most of the damage done in the attic. Captain Elgin Browning’s initial investigation pointed to a small TV that was on top of a refrigerator as to the start of the fire.
No one was home at the time.
