Sandra “Sandy” K. (Swiney) Boswell, 60, of Brookeland, Texas passed away on November 27, 2023 at Sabine County Hospital in Hemphill, Texas. She was a longtime resident of Orange, Texas.
Sandy was born in Maryville, Tennessee on May 20, 1963 to Carrie R. ”Buck” Swiney and Kathryn L. (Morton) Swiney. She has been married to Billy Joseph Boswell for 43 years. Although they had no children, she considered all of her nieces and nephews as her own. She also loved the many dogs she had throughout the years and cared for them like her children. She had a caring and loving soul that would do anything she could to help others. She cherished her family and would usually put their needs before her own when possible. She also excelled at any job she had.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM on Monday, December 4, 2023 at Dorman Funeral Home in Orange, Texas and visitation of family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Burial will immediately follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens on S. Hwy 87 in Orange, Texas.
Sandy was preceded in death by her parents, “Buck” and Kathryn Swiney; Brother – Randy C. Swiney; Nieces – Amanda K. Swiney and Nikki Gilbert; Sister-In Law – Paula K. Swiney and Brother-In-Law – Billy Jones; Father-In-Law – Joseph C. Boswell; Great Niece – Taylor Luther Swiney
Those left to cherish her memory are her Husband – Billy J. Boswell and fur baby “Toot”, Mother-In-Law – Gloria Guice; Brothers – Perry Swiney (Myra), Jackie Swiney (Mary); Sister – Susan Jones; Brother-In-Law – Jesse Boswell (Connie); Sister-In Law – Tina Cole (Ricky McClelland). Nephews – William Swiney (Katie), David Swiney (Jessica), Brandon (Erin), Corey Swiney; Nieces – Sabrina Standley (James), Lisa Harris (Trey) and numerous other family members. Serving as pallbearers are her nephews – William Swiney, David Swiney, Brandon Swiney, Cameron Swiney, Corey Swiney and Trey Harris.
