Victoria “Vicki” Lynn Jowers, 67, of Vinton, Louisiana passed away on Tuesday, December 5, 2023. She was born on October 13, 1956 in Lake Charles, Louisiana. She worked for Vinton High School in the classroom for two years, but has been a volunteer for Vinton Lions Athletics for over 30 years, where she would help in the concession stands, and anywhere else she was needed. Vicki loved taking care of the children. She was a die-hard Dallas Cowboys and Texas Longhorn fan, and would root for them every time.
She is survived by her husband of nearly 34 years, Chris Jowers; son, Jared Reina of Vinton, Louisiana; mother, Dolores Fuselier Reina of Bridge City, Texas; brother, Gordon Reina (Krista) of Round Rock, Texas; along with her sister, Lisa Hamerly (Danny) of Orangefield, Texas; nieces and nephew, Jarrod Hubert (Mandy), Nicole Frye, Jessica Burch (Brent), McKenzie Reina; and great nieces and nephews, Kaitlyn, Bryce, and Brock Hubert, Adley and Gibson Burch; along with her brother-in-law, Donald Hubert.
Vicki is preceded in death by her father, Louis Reina; in-laws, Thurman and Barbara Jowers; and her sister-in-law, Jeannie Jowers Hubert.
A Celebration of Vicki’s life will be held at Crossroads Baptist Church in Vinton, Louisiana on Friday, December 8, 2023, at 11:00 am, with Bro. Rob Tibbitts officiating. Visitation will be at Crossroads Baptist on Thursday, December 7, 2023, from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Visitation will resume at the church on Friday, from 9:00 am until the time of the service. Burial will follow at Niblett’s Bluff Cemetery in Vinton, Louisiana.
