Curtis Hughes was born February 22nd, 1945, and passed away August 1st, 2023, at the age of 78. He was a carpenter by trade and enjoyed building houses. He was an avid classic car collector. Most of all, Curtis loved his family, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Lois Hughes; children, Michelle Peet and husband, Manny, Darrell Hughes and wife, Heather; grandchildren, Shelbie Briseno and husband, Danny, Harlie Granger and husband, Drew, Alexie Hughes and fiance, Chris, Jacie Hughes, Rylie Hughes, Scott Peet, and Shannon Peet; great grandchildren, Cienna Briseno, Frieyah Caudle, and Lucie Granger.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Grady Mitchell and Millie Gentry Hughes; siblings, Geneva Payne, Wayne Hughes, and Doris Steele.
A service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, August 6th, 2023, at the Cowboy Church, 673 FM 1078, Orange, Texas.
Arrangements were handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. 4th Street, DeQuincy, Louisiana.
