
Norman Paul Warnell Sr.

Pastor Norman Paul Warnell, Sr. was born to the late Mary Jackson Warnell and Nathaniel James Warnell in Orange, Texas on May 26, 1943. A 1962 graduate of Emma H. Wallace High School of Orange, Texas, and attending Wiley College, in Marshall, Texas majoring in Music.
Pastor Norman P. Warnell, Sr. accepted Christ at a young age and was baptized and served faithfully at Mt. Olive Baptist Church under the leadership of the late O. B. Baptiste. He later joined Mt. Calvary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Pastor George H. Brown, where he was licensed, ordained, served in various organizations, and started “The Good Samaritan Mission where they went outside of the four walls. He was known to Pastor and Minister several different churches for thirty something years, and carpenter work by trade. Pastor Norman P. Warnell, Sr. ministered at his own House of prayer, known as, “God’s Living Word Missionary House of Prayer”, and labored in the hedges and highways, hospitals, drug houses, court house, barber shop and etc., He figured if he could at least lead one soul to Christ, then his living would not be in vain.
Pastor Norman Paul Warnell, Sr, was a wonderful Husband, Father, Grandfather, and Godfather. He enjoyed spending time with His family. Married to Cynthia Fezia-Warnell, a devoted wife of thirty-four years until His death. To this marriage was born one daughter: Mary E. Warnell-Almaguer. His favorite pastimes were: witnessing, skating, traveling, swimming, playing His trumpet, picking up cans, and eating out.
Pastor Norman Paul Warnell, Sr. departed this world on July 26, 2023, following a lengthy illness. He is preceded by His {parents] Nathaniel Warnell and Mary M Jackson; {sisters} Freddie B. LLoyd, Florida Hadnot Gates, Mary Jones. {brothers} Nathaniel Warnell, Jr.; Lester Warnell.
Pastor Norman Paul Warnell, Sr. leaves loved-ones to cherish His memories (Wife) Cynthia Fezia-Warnell; (Sons): Mallerick Paul Warnell {Loretta}; Norman Paul Warnell, Jr, {Kenya}; (Daughters): Mary E. Warnell-Almaguer {Austin} Cheytika Pitre {Louis} (Godchild) Katrina Samuel-Bartie; (Godchild) Yolanda Hadnot Benjamin; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, special friends, and church family.
The homegoing celebration will be held on Thursday, August 3rd, 2023, 11:00 am at Orange Church of God Embassy of Grace 1911 N. 16th St. Orange, Texas 77630.
