A man who was being transferred by two Orange County Sheriff’s Deputies from Denver back to Texas escaped at the airport but was caught a short time later.
The incident happened Friday morning at the Denver International Airport. Brandon Chabaud, who lives in mid-county, was being brought back to Texas to stand trial in Judge Courtney Arkeen’s court for felony evading.
Chabaud was able to elude the two and kept running until he got onto the tarmac where officers from Denver were able to help capture him. He will now face evading charges in Colorado.
One of the deputies suffered a hand injury and was expected to receive treatment when he got back to Texas.
