After 20 years working at the Orange County Jail, Dora Phillips is retiring. The Sheriff’s office held a reception in her honor Friday.
Phillips, also known as Mrs. Candy, has been the cook in the jail and famous for her meals and great attitude. Several deputies mentioned her chicken and dumplin’s as the best they’ve had.
