On Wednesday High Tides Restaurant in Bridge City officially announced they’ll be closing in a few weeks after being bought out by GTPC/Chevron so that they can use the land to bring in equipment, etc. via the waterway.
In part Management said, “It is with a heavy heart and a sense of deep regret that we announce the upcoming closure of our cherished, waterfront family restaurant. After much contemplation and consideration, we have made the difficult decision to cease operations. It is a choice that was not arrived at lightly, but one that we believe is in the best interest of our loyal customers and dedicated staff member’s.
Over the years, our restaurant has been a gathering place for families, friends, and the community as a whole. We have had the privilege of serving you, sharing in your special moments, and creating lasting memories. Your patronage and support have meant the world to us, and we are grateful for every single customer who has walked through our doors.
Regrettably, the challenges we have faced with staffing, discipline, and the subsequent decline in such. We have tirelessly searched for solutions to maintain the high standards and warm atmosphere that you have come to expect from us. However, it has become increasingly difficult to uphold the quality and service that have been our hallmarks.”
