On Saturday, April 29 at approximately 10:30am a deputy with the Orange County Sheriff’s Department attempted to stop a black Chevrolet truck for a traffic violation at the intersection of FM 408 and 105 in Orangefield.
The truck would not pull over and took off towards FM 1442. There he turned around and started heading back down FM 105 at speeds of over 100mph.
Now with more police vehicles in pursuit, the driver lead authorities through the city of West Orange, taking Border St. then West Bancroft where he ran through a field. Then he turned south on College St and then Western Ave. where he tried to manuever around vehicles at the intersection of Western and Dayton. Instead he struck a utility pole and the chain link fence at the WOS Bus Barn across from Danny’s Grocery.
Mark Andrew Guillory, Jr., 37, was taken into custody and charged with Evading Arrest with a Motor Vehicle. It was learned that Guillory, who had a home address in Harris County, had an active Pardon Parole Warrant for evading arrest and had prior convictions for evading in 2007 and 2013.
