The regular season is winding down except for the Orangefield Lady Bobcats who wrapped up a district title in their final game of the district campaign. That included an ice bath for Coach Rebekah Ragsdale.

The Lady Bobcats (12-2) scored early and often while honoring seniors Harleigh Rawls and Rylie Dougay.

Jasper 9 Bridge City 8
The Lady Bulldogs scored 2 in the 9th to beat BC, putting the Cards (9-2) in second place with one game left to play. Nicole Sasser had a great offensive game for BC going 4-5 with an RBI and 2 runs scored. Cambree LaComb and Kaydence Corkran pitched for the Lady Cards, combining for 10 strikeouts. BC plays WOS Friday.

LCM 21 WOS 1
Big offensive night for Lexis Moss (4-4, 3RBI), Keylie Washburn (3-4, 3R) and Jill Brown (2-4, 4 RBI). Elle Stephenson got the win pitching 4 innings, giving up one run on one hit, with 5K’s and 6 walks. LCM (10-1) tries to wrap up the district title Friday at Silsbee.

BASEBALL
Orangefield defeated Hardin 10-0 as three pitchers combined to throw a shutout.
Jason Bodin went 3-for-4 at the plate. Bodin drove in runs on a single in the third, a single in the fifth, and a single in the sixth. The Bobcats (12-0) notched five runs in the sixth inning. The big bats in the inning were led by singles by Kyle Michael and Bodin and an error on a ball put in play by Caleb Fregia.
Morgan Sampson got the victory. The righthander went three innings, allowing zero runs on three hits, striking out seven and walking zero. Colton Myers and Garrett Rawls entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief. Bobcats have Kountze and Anahuac left on their schedule.

Vidor 5 Lumberton 4 (10)
Fate was with the Pirates as they scored one in the bottom of the seventh to tie and send it into extra innings. Then in the tenth, the Raiders (7-4) scored to take the lead but the Pirates (7-2) responded with two in the bottom of the frame for the win. Landon Bailey provided the fireworks with a double, scoring Dagan Venable and Austin Cadroy.

Bridge City 4 Jasper 3
The Cardinals (6-3) scored four runs in the bottom of the seventh for the big district win. Aidyn Mulhollan hit a ground ball to short and reached on an error, scoring John Van Huis from third for the walk off win. Mulhollan and JS Bearden combined to strike out 10 Bulldogs. Jasper falls to 4-5.

LCM 9 WOS 5
The Bears (3-6) got started with four runs in the first. The Mustangs made a game of it with four in the fourth but LCM pulled away in the fifth. Parker Seago, Parker Freeman and Cam Bilbo had two hits each as the Bears totaled 10. Dean Reynolds, Freeman, and Landon Richards combined to strike out 15 Mustangs. Carlos Calana had two hits for WOS (0-9). Tyrone Wilson and Grayson Gregory had the other two hits.

Deweyville lost to Evadale 7-5. The Pirates fall to 8-3 and the Rebels are 7-4 and they’ll play each other again Friday.
