The Orangefield Lady Bobcats defeated the Anahuac Lady Panthers tonight 2-1. Abigail Curphey was stellar on the mound, giving up just one hit, with 9 strikeouts. Curphey did not give up an earned run or a free pass. Harleigh Rawls got the Lady Bobcats on the board in the first with a solo homerun. Curphey helped herself offensively going 2 for 3, giving way to courtesy runner Haylee Spears who would score the go ahead run in the top of the 7th from an Alysen Vincent single. Vincent’s hit proved to be game-winning. Charlee Sanches also added a single off the top of the centerfield wall. The Lady Bobcats improve to 7-2 in district play and take on the Kirbyville Wildcats Tuesday at home for Teacher and Staff Appreciation Night.

Vidor shutout WOS 24-0 in three innings. Natalie Morrison got the job done in the circle and at the plate. She was 4-4 with 6 RBI’s and four runs scored. She also got the win giving up just one hit and one walk. Allison Simmons was also big at the plate going 3-4 with a HR with 5RBI.

Bridge City beat Silsbee 11-1. Freshman Cambree LaComb got the win in three innings of work. K Corkran pitched the other three scoreless innings. The Lady Cards tallied 12 hits, two a piece for Munoz, Sasser, Autrey, Nugier, and Larkin.

Deweyville improved to 7-1 with a 12-2 five inning win over Sabine Pass. Baylee Smith struck out 14 in the win. Haley Williams was 2-3 with 3 RBI’s. Smith, Thompson, and Addison knocked in two runs each.

Orangefield beat Anahuac 14-7. It was a 9-7 ballgame going into the 7th when the Bobcats put up five. DH Morgan Sampson was 2-3 with a Grand Slam and 5 RBI. Jason Bodin got the start and pitched 4 shutout innings with 7K’s. Both teams struggled defensively. Anahuac had 7 errors and the Bobcats 6.

Vidor completed the sweep of LCM 7-4. Logan Morris got the complete game win giving up 2 earned runs on 3 hits with 7K’s and 4 walks. He also lead the Pirates at the plate going 2-4 with 2RBI. C Bilbo got the start for LCM. He pitched 2.1 innings giving up 2 earned runs on 3 hits with 1 strikeout and five walks. Parker Seago threw the finals 4.2 with 2 ER on 5H with 6K’s and 2W.

Deweyville beat Sabine Pass 8-4 to improve to 6-0 in district.

WOS lost to Jasper 10-5. The Mustangs had four hits (Lee, Ibarra, Anderson, Robinson). Jasper tallied 11 hits off of five WOS pitchers.
