The LCM Lady Bears are moving on to the second round with an 8-2 win over Huffman. After battling the wind in the first half and going into halftime down 1-2, the Lady Bears turned things around and exploded for seven goals in the second half. The defense made up of Mallory Russell, Kinsey Dryden, Sydney Guidry, Maddie McConnell, and Mallory Dollar held it down and helped the offense work the ball down the field. Defensive midfielders Jada Montagne, Sarah Hormell, and Maddie McConnell got in on the action and were constant threats both on offense and defense. The offense led by senior Belle Fisher picked apart the Lady Falcons defense and Shayne Pannell played a great game in the goal. Stats on the night were Belle Fisher with 4 goals and 4 assists, Taylor Bull with 1 goal and 3 assists, Mariah Ammons with 2 goals, and Maya Meadows with 1 goal. The Lady Bears are Bi-District Champions and will advance to Area. Coach Martin says their next opponent is Houston Furr and they will play Tuesday at 5:30pm at East Chambers HS in Winnie.
