The Celebration of Life for Mrs. Bobbie Carson, 89, of Beaumont, TX, a former Orange resident, will be March 26th, 2023 at 2 pm, during Memorial Services at St Paul’s Episcopal Church in Orange.
Inurnment will be at St. Paul’s Church Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are being handled by Sparrow Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Bobbie’s memory to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, a cause that was dear to her heart.
Remembering the joy of the life shared, the family announces the passing of beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Bobbie, who peacefully passed away on March 5 at the age of 89. Bobbie was preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, John Kelsie Carson, former Orange Postmaster, known as ”Kit”.
She is survived by her daughter Katherine Carson Harrison, her grandchildren Krystal & James Weiss, Joshua Harrison, and Rachel and Grant Kelley, and her great-grandchildren Lucy, Emma, Analiese, Julian, Natalie, Molly, Maggie, and Griffin.
Bobbie was a loving and spirited soul who dedicated her life to serving others. She had a passion for travel and volunteered her time and resources to many organizations. She greatly enjoyed her time volunteering with Shangri-La, especially with the Nature Classroom. Her selflessness and generosity inspired many and touched the hearts of everyone she met.
As a devout Episcopalian, Bobbie found great joy in her faith and was an active member of the St. Paul’s church community. She worked to instill her strong sense of faith in her family and friends by living a Christian life that served as a model for those around her.
Her love for travel took her to many destinations across the globe with husband John, where she immersed herself in different cultures and experiences. From exploring Yellowstone to traversing the sea to visit the isles of Great Britain, Bobbie never lost her sense of wonder and curiosity for the world around her.
But above all, Bobbie was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who cherished her family over all else. Her unwavering love and support were a constant source of comfort and inspiration to her family who remember fondly the great care she took to make sure they felt loved and cared for. She will be deeply missed by her family, and all who knew and loved her.
