
On Friday, March 3, 2023, at approximately 12:15 AM, the Vidor Police Department responded to several 911 hang -up calls in the area of 690 N. Main Street. This individual made several 911 calls and hang up each time. The Dispatcher was able to locate the origination location from the phone’s GPS coordinates.
Upon arrival officers made contact with an individual outside the business. Dispatch was able to call back to the cell phone verifying that this was the phone that was calling 911. During the investigation the officers learned that the individual was in possession of Marijuana, Methamphetamine, and a Firearm. The individual was identified as Abiyan Pondre Eaglin, age 46 of Vidor. Eaglin has a felony conviction for Injury to a Child from Denton County, Texas in 2020.
Eaglin was charged with the following:
Possession of a Controlled Substance
Felon in Possession of a Firearm
Eaglin was transported to the Orange County Correctional Facility and is currently awaiting bond.
