On a dry windy day it didn’t take long for a fire in Bridge City to overtake the home despite response from Bridge City, West Orange, and fire departments from OCESD 3 & 4.
The fire is believed to have begun in the laundry room, near the garage, according to homeowners as the call came in around 11:30am Friday morning. The home is located in the 900 block of Suncrest Dr. near FM 1442.
The homeowners and their two children were able to escape injury, but the home and their vehicles were lost.
