The Orangefield High School Fellowship of Christian Athletes visited the residents at Focused Care in Orange on Tuesday, November 8th. The residents had a great time playing bingo and receiving prizes from the students. The students also sang “Amazing Grace” as a group and prayed with the residents.
On Saturday, November 5, nineteen members (below) of the OHS Speech/Debate and Prose/Poetry teams competed in the Carthage High School UIL Academic meet in Carthage, TX. Students competed in Cross Examination debate, Lincoln Douglas debate, Prose, and Poetry.

Senior Students from the Practicum in Agriculture, Food, and Natural Resources course visited the International Paper Mill in Orange, Texas (below). Each team leader from International Paper talked with the students about their job and what duties they have in the processing of trees to make paper. It is clear that International Paper takes safety very seriously as they explained safety precautions, safety education, and safety protocols within the International Paper organization. The students toured the facility seeing first hand how pine logs are manufactured into paper.
