The YMBL Tournament wrapped up Saturday and the LCM Lady Bears won first place in the Red Bracket. The Lady Bears defeated Splendora (2-0), Memorial (2-0), Silsbee (2-0), HF (2-1), HJ (2-0) and BC (2-0) in the finals. Chrissy Joseph was named the MVP and All-Tournament team members included Lexi Tubbleville, Ava White, Mariah Ammons.
On Friday, LCM lost to Hardin-Jefferson in district play in straight sets. The Bear 9th and JV teams beat HJ.

The Lady Bobcats reached the third place game of the YMBL tournament in the large school (red) division. They defeated Livingston 19-25, 25-15, and 15-13 before falling to both Bridge City 20-25, 16-25 and Hardin Jefferson 18-25 and 15-25.
VS Livingston-Harleigh Rawls had a great game with 2 aces, a block, 16 digs, 5 kills and 10 assists. Brianna Moore had 17 assists and 1 ace. Mackenzie Haley had 9 kills, while Greenlea Oldham had 5. Libby Thurman also had 8 digs.
VS Bridge City-Libby Thurman had 2 aces and 8 digs. Brianna Moore had 2 aces, 8 digs. Mackenzie Haley had 6 kills and Kylie Mouton had 4.
VS Hardin Jefferson-Greenlea Oldham had 2 blocks. Mackenzie Haley had 5 kills. Briann Moore had 9 assists and 4 digs. Libby Thurman and Kaylea Gravett each had 7 digs and Thurman added 1 ace.
The Lady Bobcats received the Sportsmanship award from the YMBL and Senior Mackenzie Haley was named to the All Tournament team. The team will travel to Warren on Tuesday to continue district play.
On Friday the Bobcats opened district with a five set win over Kirbyville 25-21, 25-19, 18-25, 17-25, and 15-12. Leaders were: Aces – Hannah Block 3, Kaitlyn Jenkins and Kaylea Gravett each had 2 Digs – Libby Thurman 17, Mackenzie Haley 14, Gravett and Rawls 12 each Blocks – Kylie Mouton & Mackenzie Haley each had 3, Lela Francis had 2 Kills – Mackenzie Haley 19, Greenlea Oldham 12 Assists – Brianna Moore 28, Harleigh Rawls 16. The JV won in straight sets of 25-6 and 26-24. Leaders were: Jaydin Agerton had 11 assists, 5 aces and 4 kills. Ava Dyer had 2 ace, 3 kills and a block. Paris Becker had 13 digs and 3 kills. The Freshman won in two sets 25-10 and 24-18. Leaders were: Hallee Becker 6 aces and 3 kills. Gabby White 6 assists and 5 aces. Haylee spears had 4 aces and 2 kills.

Bridge City reached the Championship game of the YMBL Tournament with wins on Saturday against WOS (Carter 6 kills, 2 blocks; Doiron 3 kills, 3 aces, 5 assists), Lumberton (Demi Carter had 11 kills and 2 blocks; Anna Kelly 4 kills, 3 aces; Taryn Doiron 4 kills, 4 aces, 2 blocks, 13 assists), and Orangefield before losing to LCM in the finals. The Cards travel to LCM on Tuesday.

Vidor lost to Hamshire-Fannett and Silsbee at the YMBL Tournament Saturday. They’ll play at Silsbee Tuesday.

West Orange-Stark lost to BC and Memorial Saturday at the YMBL Tournament. They will play host to Lumberton on Tuesday.

Deweyville beat West Hardin and lost to Diboll and Buna at the YMBL Tournament. They play host to Bob Hope School on Tuesday.

Undefeated Tournament Champs!!!
The BC 7th grade Red team Lady Cardinals defeated Barbers Hill to take home the first place trophy at the LC tournament. Leading the team in passing was Aubrey Small & Naryiah Wiegreffe with 13 passes each.
Top defensive players were Kenlee Putnam, Rylee Hebert and Parker Dishon.
Mia Sterling led the team in attacks with 4 kills. Lizzie Livingston and Wiegreffe each had 3 kills. Kendal Krailo and Small each had 2 kills and Kaitlyn Juneau 1. Wiegreffe and Sterling led the way in setting with 7 and 6 assists. Wiegreffe was top server for the match with 22 serves including 15 aces. Also contributing serves: Sterling 8, Krailo 7, Livingston 6, Small 5, Putnam 4 and Juneau 2.
The team is now 4-0 on the season and 1-0 in District play. The team will be back in action at home Monday evening against the Jasper Bulldogs.
