Rita Connor, age 77 of Vidor, Texas, passed away on Thursday, April 21, 2022 in Beaumont, Texas. A private service to honor Rita will be held by the family at a later date. Dorman Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Rita.
Rita was born in Beaumont, Texas on November 29, 1944 to parents, Elvina Foux Thibodeaux and Jules Thibodeaux. She spent most of her life in Vidor, Texas and was a long time member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Vidor. Rita was a very gifted quilter and was a member of the local Quilting Guild. Her family will cherish her beautiful quilts for years to come. Rita was a kind and loving person who enjoyed spending time with her family that she loved dearly. She will be greatly missed.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Frank Derrel Connor, Sr., daughter Christine Fledderjohn, parents Jules and Elvina Thibodeaux and a brother Herman Thibodeaux.
Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Frank Derrel Connor, Jr. of Silsbee, TX, step-daughter Tammy Gallier and her husband Paul of Port Neches, TX, honorary daughter, Bambi Atkinson and her husband Micah of Hondo, TX, sister Margaret Thibodeaux of Vidor, TX, son-in-law Jeff Fledderjohn of Canyon Lake, TX, seven grandchildren; Emily Salgado, Katy Spears, Chelci Atkinson, Meghan Atkinson, Jana Atkinson, Annabel Atkinson and Harley Atkinson and five great grandchildren; Mackenzie Salgado, Khloe Salgado, Naomi Salgado, Anna Lea Spears and Caiden Atkinson
