Jack Leroy Daniel, age 85 of Highlands, Texas, passed away on Thursday, April 21, 2022 at his home. Services to honor Jack’s life will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at Dorman Funeral Home. Interment will immediately follow at Bland Cemetery. Family and friends will gather for a visitation from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at Dorman Funeral Home.
He was born August 12th, 1936 in Houston, Texas to parents, Annie Marie McCelvey Daniel and George Trot Daniel. Jack graduated Milby High School and attended trade school for welding. He married in 1958 and started a family, having 4 children. He battled varying stages of Alzheimer for nearly 8 years. Even with this disorder of memory loss, his determination to remember his loved ones was most often reached. During the struggle he never lost his laughter, his innate joy and carefree disposition.
He was preceded in death by his two sons, Stephen Wayne Daniel and Michael David Daniel, son-in-law Robert Shults and granddaughter Lauren.
Among the many survivors are his wife, Frances Daniel, daughters, Donna Lynn and Kellie Renee and granddaughters Quincy Sinclair and Finley MaKaye, as well as two son-in-laws, Kyle Curd and Steve Moore. Jack married Frances in 1994 and was instantly blessed with more family to love which included daughters; Cindy Kay, Tena Irene and Laura Ellen, sons-in-laws, Raymond Konecny and Eddie Orozco, grandchildren; Daniela, Lynndsay, Kristal, Jimmy, Brandon and Justin, great grandchildren; Kaylynn, Carter, Sawyer, Shelby, Jordyn, Aubrey, Jarod, Victoria, Jacob, Levi, David, Luke, Catelyn, Kayden, James, and Christian, sister Anita Massey and brother-in-law Jack Massey, as well as brother Lanny Daniel and sister in law Maxine Daniel and nephews; Kirk and Jim Massey and Frank Daniel.
Pallbearers to honor Jack will be, Angelo Louis, Steve Moore, Jimmy Shafer, Bull Nunley, Kirk Massey and Kile Sollock. Honorary pallbearers will be Bob Demarco and David Nunley.
