The Celebration of Life for Mr. Larry D. Polk, 70, of Orange, will be Saturday, January 29, 2022, at 11am at the Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church.
Rites of Christian Burial will follow at Magnolia Memorial Gardens under the direction of Sparrow Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 10 until 11am.
Larry Darnel Polk was born to Voir Lee Crockett and Leonard Polk on June 9, 1951, in Orange, Texas.
He was raised and educated in the area.
A Lineman and Self-Employed Electrician, he retired from Entergy after 30 years of service.
Larry was a member of the I.B.E.W. Local # 2286.
His memories are cherished by his wife, Hazel Polk of Orange, two sons, Richard Daniels (Robin) of Elk Grove, CA and Detarius Williams (Meanie) of Houston, TX, five daughters, Cornesha Polk and Shaquetta Adger, both of Orange, Sharron Adger-Davis (Cleveland) of Katy, TX, Trokina Adger of Humble, TX and Shekinah Polk of Port Arthur, TX, one brother, Dwight Arline of Houston, TX, five sisters, Marilyn Smith (Tim), Jackie Fredrick, Sandra Arline and Cynthia Fontenot, all of Beaumont, TX and Mary Samples of Sweetwater, TX, 15 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
