County Engineer Corey Oldbury has been discussing with members of the Mauriceville Heritage Association about the transfer of property near the fairgrounds in Mauriceville to the County Road and Bridge Department. Details still need to be worked out, but it would allow the county to move the Precinct 2 Maintenance Barn to that location which would be a big improvement according to Oldbury and Precinct 2 County Commissioner Theresa Beauchamp. In exchange the county would help maintain the parking areas around the fairgrounds.
