Arrangements by Colonial Memorial Chapel, 1512 10 Street, Orange, Tex. On Saturday, September18, 2021, God reached down and plucked another one of his beautiful flowers, Mary L. Batiste Quinn, born March 17, 1945, to Ernest Batiste (deceased), and Glenda Washington Sparks (deceased) in Orange, Texas. She was raised by her Mother, and stepfather the late Rev. Clarence Sparks. Sister Quinn accepted Christ at an early age, and was baptized at the Mt. Sinai Baptist Church under the Pastorage of the late Rev. H.H. High. Sister Quinn attended and graduated from Emma H. Wallace Public School in the great city of Orange, Texas. Upon death Sister Quinn was an active and dedicated member of the Starlight Church of God In Christ, under the leadership of Pastor Ernest B. Lindsey. She was united in Holy Matrimony to R.C. Quinn (deceased). To this union one son Eric Dewayne Quinn (deceased), one daughter Andrea Charmange Quinn was born. Sister Quinn was employed as a Private Sitter. She took her job seriously and her Clients were well taken care of and treated with great love and respect. In 1980 Sister Quinn rededicated her life to Christ and accepted God’s called to the Ministry as an Evangelist. Her Bible Reading, Prayer life, love for God and faith was impeccable. Oh how she loved to sing. Some ofher favorites ere “Soon I Will Be Done With Troubles of This World”, sounding like Mahalia Jackson, “Too Close to Mirror”, “Just Another Day That The Lord Has Kept Me”, “Hold My Mute” She leaves to cherish her Precious Memories: Daughter: Andrea Charmange Quinn, Sisters: Mattie King Williams, San Antonio, Clara L. Booker, Orange, Texas, Brothers: Robert Washington(Bridget), Elton, Louisiana, Clarence Sparks(Carolyn), Lake Charles Louisiana. Granddaughters: Roquindalyn Broussard, Trameka Griffin(Sentrel), Da’Aliyah Quinn, Sha-De’ja Quinn, all of Orange, Texas, Marquisha Middleton, Ft. Worth, Grandsons: Anthony Dewayne Johnson, Dallas, Texas, Marcus Broussard, Houston, Texas, Eric Dewayne Quinn Jr., Orange, Texas, 9 Great Grandchildren.
