Thomas (Tommy) Gene Haynes left this world September 7, 2021 after a legendary fight at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont, Texas. Thomas was 54 years old. Memorial services will be at Pine Forest Baptist Church in Vidor, Texas. Visitation will be held at 10:00 am for family and friends and memorial service at 11:00 am, Saturday, September 18, 2021. Officiating will be Minister Wayne Powell. Thomas was born May 20, 1967 in Jasper, Texas to parents Gene Haynes and Priscilla Burnett.
Thomas was a huge personality and a pleasure to be around. He loved his beautiful wife April and the 18 year legacy they created together. Their lives were full with their children and grandchildren. His family was his pride and joy and he always put them first. His children and grandchildren were always on his mind and in his heart and he loved them unconditionally and was very proud of each one of them.
Thomas is survived by his wife of 18 years April Haynes of Vidor, TX. Six children Josh Haynes and Meggan of Vidor, TX, Justin Haynes and Kristian of Vidor, TX, Priscilla Haynes of Vidor, TX, Skylar Compton of Vidor, TX, Shyanne Nelson and Michael of Orangefield, TX, and Wyatt Compton of Melbourne, FL. Five Grandchildren Quentin Haynes, Aiden Haynes, Presley Nelson, Audrey Nelson, and Bentley Compton. Siblings Gayle Jansen and Jim of Jasper, TX, Kathy Tullus and T.J. of Call, TX, John Haynes and Marie of Buna, TX, Becky Adcock and Len of Brookeland, TX, Windy Lanzl and James of New Braunfels, TX, Stacy Barefield of Roganville, TX, Amber Jolly of Kirbyville, TX and sister-in-law Joan Haynes of Pelahatchie, MS. Along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by father Gene Haynes, mother Priscilla (Patsy) Burnett, brothers David Haynes and Danny Haynes.
Thomas is and will be missed by many. The family would like to thank the hard working nurses at St. Elizabeth hospital who never gave up on Thomas. They said he was a legend because he fought a battle against Covid-19 for 26 hard days. The family would like to thank you for all the prayers, text, calls and messages.
