Suzanne Lea Crow
On the morning of January 10, 1944, Suzanne Lea, the oldest child and only daughter of George A. Lea, Sr. and Frances Anita Lea was born in Orange, Texas. She departed this life on the evening of August 6, 2021, in Dallas, Texas.
After graduating from Lutcher Stark High School in 1962, Suzanne pursued a career as a legal secretary and spent many years as a dedicated employee of the Thompson and Knight Law Firm until retirement. She was skilled on a horse, never without a miniature poodle for a pet, laughed easily, and was tougher than nails. Most of all she loved her family endlessly.
Suzanne was preceded in death by her parents George A. Lea, Sr. and Frances Anita Lea.
Those left who will love her always are longtime companion, Bill Parvin; daughters Shelley Smitherman Miller and husband Brad and Stefanie Smitherman Crist and husband Tim; brothers George A. Lea, Jr. and wife Clytie, and Charles W. Lea. Other survivors include grandchildren Jordan Shikle, Savannah Shikle, Chase Miller, Madison Miller, and Alexis Miller and great granddaughter, AnnaSophia Miller as well as nephew Eric Lea and wife Amy and niece Elizabeth Lea.
