Cecil D. Duhon, age 92 of Orange, Texas, passed away on Saturday, August 7, 2021 in Beaumont, Texas. Services to honor Cecil will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, August 13, 2021 at Dorman Funeral Home with Rev. David Turner officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Forest Lawn in Orange Family and friends will gather for a visitation from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Thursday, August 12, 2021 at Dorman Funeral Home.
Cecil was born on August 3, 1929 in Ridge, Louisiana to parents, Mady Morgan Duhon and Alex Duhon. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. Cecil was a longtime member of Little Cypress Baptist Church. He worked for many years in the lab at Firestone and as a carpenter with Duhon Construction. Cecil had a wonderful talent of being able to build anything. In his early years, he built homes that families still call home to this day. In his later years, he loved working in his shop making anything out wood; whether it was a birdhouse, porch swing or furniture. Cecil just loved to work. Cecil also loved watching his favorite team, Astros play baseball.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Emmalena Duhon, parents Alex and Mady Duhon, a brother Winfred Duhon and a sister Louise Foreman.
Those left to cherish his memory are his sons, Darrel Duhon and his wife Carmen and Todd Duhon and his wife Sharlena, six grandchildren; Justin Duhon and his wife Michelle, Ashley Tarver and her husband Cody, Danielle Oliver and her husband Jonathan, Brock Duhon, Brittany Holley and Kayla Kedel, seven great grandchildren; Paisley Oliver, Hunter Oliver, Graylee Oliver, Kynder Knepp, Jace Kedel, Lilly Tarver and Colton Tarver and and host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Pallbearers to honor Cecil will be Jonathan Oliver, Justin Duhon, Cody Tarver, Shea Johnson, Brock Duhon, and Juan Sanchez.
