
Two men were arrested at a house early Thursday morning when narcotics officers with the Orange Police Department found cocaine, cash, and a firearm.
Sergeant Jason Laughlin reported narcotics officers had investigated possible drug sales from a house on Carpenters Place. Officers got a search warrant for the house and they raided it at 4:45 a.m. Thursday.
Laughlin said they found a felony amount of cocaine along with cash and a firearm.
34-year-old Ellis Davis was arrested and faces a second felony charge of possession of a controlled substance and a third degree felony of felon in possession of a firearm.
Laughlin said another man at the house, 35-year-old Randall St. Julien Hancock, had an arrest warrant issued through Bexar County and was taken into custody.
Both men were taken to the Orange County Jail.
Vandals broke out plate glass windows at Superior Tire on 16th Street sometime Wednesday night. The store manager called Orange police at 6:30 Thursday morning after discovering the damage.
Officer T.P. Pruitt reported five windows into the office area were shattered and glass was all over the lobby floor. In addition, two concrete planters that had been outside were laying broken inside among the glass pieces. Damage is estimated at more than $2,500.
Investigators will review surveillance video to try to identify the culprits.
