Larry McClure, 76, of Bridge City, passed away on June 7, 2021, in Beaumont.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 12, 2021, at Ebenezer Cemetery in Jasper, Texas, with burial to follow.
Born in Port Arthur, Texas, on April 14, 1945, he was the son of Bubby and Loreen McClure. He worked as a computer programmer for Texaco Research and retired after 25 years of hard work and dedication. Larry was a substitute teacher at Bridge City High School and Junior High, also teaching computer classes at West Orange Stark and Memorial. He loved building model airplanes and tanks, watching sci-fi movies, reading and listening to classical music. Larry was a talented artist and loved working with watercolor paints and calligraphy. He adored his grandchildren, and they adored their “Papaw”. Larry was the best grandfather you could ask for and constantly made them laugh. He will be deeply missed by all those he impacted during his time on earth.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bubby and Loreen McClure.
He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Mary Beth McClure; children, Miranda Miller and husband David of Lewisville, Texas, Andrew McClure and wife Savannah of Orange, Texas and Sarah Greaux and husband Justin of Orangefield, Texas; grandchildren, Katie Miller, Livy Miller, Juliana Greaux, Jaida Greaux, and Ella Mae McClure.
