Six Blinn College softball players earned Region XIV all-region and all-conference honors after leading the Buccaneers to the NJCAA Region XIV-South Softball Tournament. They included sophomore pitcher Renna Toomey (LCM).
Toomey led the Buccaneers with 22 pitching appearances, 18 starts, 15 complete games, and 135 innings pitched. She tied for third in the region with 10 wins, was fifth in the region with 76 strikeouts, and posted the region’s third lowest earned run average (2.49). On offense, Toomey tallied 20 hits, 20 RBIs, and 14 runs in 83 at-bats.
Blinn finished the season with a 22-19 overall record and posted a second-place finish in conference with a 13-5 record. Blinn concluded the season with a third-place finish in the Region XIV-South Tournament.
