
Mrs. Audrey Mae Hale, age 88, of Bronson, Texas, (formerly of Orange County) passed away Wednesday, January 27, 2021, at CHI St. Luke’s Medical Center in Lufkin, Texas.
She was born November 27, 1932, in Abbeville, Louisiana, to parents Augustin and Nola (Guidry) Frederick. She and her family were longtime residents of Bridge City, Texas, before moving to the Bronson area several years ago. Mrs. Hale retired from Bridge City Bank as a teller and had also worked at Gibson’s, however, she spent most of her life as a dedicated wife and mother to her family.
Mrs. Hale was also faithful to serve in the churches where she lived and was a great prayer warrior. She was most recently active with St. Augustine Catholic Church, participating in the Altar Society and other capacities.
Her survivors include her children, Michael Edward Hale of Mauriceville, Texas, Daniel Glenn Hale of Buna, Texas, Kathy Hutson and husband Jerry of Bronson, Texas, and Gary Paul Hale of Lee’s Summit, Missouri; sisters, Yvonne Walton, Florence Hebert, Joyce Peltier, and Gloria Mouton; a brother, Raymond Frederick; 16 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a great-grandchild “on the way.”
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Joseph Hale Jr., on January 10, 2021; a daughter, Carolyn Ann Milam; her parents, Augustin and Nola Frederick; brothers, Reaux Frederick and Raywood Frederick; and a sister, Una Comeaux.
A rosary service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 2, 2021, at Wyman Roberts Memorial Chapel, located at 316 W. Columbia Street in San Augustine, Texas, with Father Maria Susai J. Avula officiating.
Private committal services will be held at Mary’s House of Refuge Cemetery near Bronson, Texas.
