The Celebration of Life for Mr. Christopher D. Brown will be Thursday, January 14, 2021 at 11am during Graveside Services at Hollywood Community Cemetery under the direction of
Sparrow Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 10:30am until 11am.

Christopher Damond Brown was born to Virginia Ann Brown-O’Dell in Orange, Texas on September 3rd, 1995.
A 2015 graduate of West Orange – Stark High School, he was a wide receiver for the Mighty Mustangs football team.
Christopher loved the Cowboys, playing football and continued playing with the semiprofessional Golden Triangle Seminoles and briefly with the Hardin-Jefferson Hawks.
Chris enjoyed fishing and was also an active member of his community, participating in a variety of youth outreach events.
He had a loving nature and loved to share a laugh with family or a friend.
On December 25th, 2020 while out with friends, Christopher lost his life trying to stop a gunman.
He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Virginia Ann Brown O’Dell, and Michael O’Dell, two sisters, Antavia Jones (Darryl) and Tatiyanna Knaly (Gavin), four brothers, Jerrold Brown, Darius Davis, Tyrell Brown and Elijah Haskins, and his grandparents, Shirley Washington, and Bobby Brown. Also, his parents in love, Sharon Hughey Dorsey (Warren) and Elliott Benoit, siblings in love, Grekiesha “Co Co” Hughey-Sims, Earl Hughey Sr. and Alicia F. Lewis and his grandmother in love, Willa Mae Ford. He also leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and truly special friends.
He was preceded in death by great-grandparents Virginia “Jenny” F. Brown and Tom Brown and great grandparents in love, Ella Mae Thibodeaux and Eldridge Thibodeaux, Sr.
