Dorothy Jean Lee, 88, of Orange, passed away on October 19, 2020, in Beaumont.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 23, 2020, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend Mark Bunch of St. Paul United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Prospect Methodist Cemetery in Florien, Louisiana at 3:00 p.m.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., prior to the service, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Born in Ridge, Louisiana, on August 21, 1932, she was the daughter of Luther Herbert Caldwell and Lacy Belle (Burke) Caldwell. Dorothy was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church in Bridge City. She was a dedicated member Eastern Star in Orange. She graduated with a master’s degree in Elementary Education from McNeese University and went on to teach fourth grade at Hatton Elementary for over 25 years. Dorothy was an excellent artist and enjoyed creating oil paintings. She and her husband loved genealogy and traveling together. She will be deeply missed by all those who came to know and love her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Lacy Caldwell; husband, Grover Milton Lee; and sister, Loretta Caldwell Fischer.
She is survived by her sons, Dennis Grover Lee of Orange, and Ronald Jerry Lee and wife Debbie of Conroe; grandchildren, Christopher Grover Lee and wife Sara, and Matthew Needham Lee; great grandchildren, Evan Grover Lee and Dylan Edward Lee; and sister Florrie D. Caldwell Hebert.
