Saturday afternoon the Newton County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call about a shooting at the Sabine ATV Park in Burkeville.
Witnesses at the scene told authorities that it was a case of ATV road rage when one ATV passed another in an unsafe manner. An altercation ensued and a weapon was discharged striking a male subject.
The shooting victim was air lifted to a Beaumont hospital and is listed in stable condition.
The NCSO did not announce any arrests and say the investigation is ongoing.
