Crystal Leah Strohmaier July 17, 1970 – August 26, 2020
As we were all evacuating for Hurricane Laura, Crystal evacuated this earthly home to be with her grandparents in heaven on August 26, 2020
Crystal is survived by her loving husband, Ralph Strohmaier, Jr.; her parents, Patsy Peck and Thomas Stanfield; children, J.T. Clanton and Lauren Michelle; granddaughter, Harmony Jean; stepson, Ralph Strohmaier III and wife Lacy; step grandchild, Ayden; sister, Jayne Wittschen and husband Kevin; and nephews, Dane and Jace; along with many aunts, uncles, and cousins whom she loved very much.
She is preceded in death by her loving grandparents, Charles and Juanita Ellis and Lonnie & Ruth Stanfield.
Crystal either had a birthday calendar of everyone she loved, or she had a photographic memory. She would not miss a year in calling to tell you Happy Birthday if she had your phone number, regardless if she had not seen you in months or a year. Crystal would call you at the crack of dawn because she was up and assumed, we all were up as well. She also didn’t miss a holiday to wish you Merry Christmas or Happy New Year. She inherited Nannaw’s love to make sure you knew you were special when she talked to you. Family was very important to Crystal as was her faith in God.
Life had not been an easy journey for Crystal, but she didn’t see it as such. Her faith in God never wavered for her even when life would bring her the toughest situations. Crystal wasn’t one to complain but was a fighter. She loved her family and made sure she reached out to everyone if only by phone when she wasn’t able to see them. Crystal loved being a mother to her children and was very excited to be a grandmother, enjoyed being a big sister to Jayne, and her friends. She loved visiting with her family whom she adored more than anything. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Cremation will be under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home.
