Tyler Ray Ham, 30, of Orange, Texas, passed away on July 13, 2020, in Port Arthur, Texas.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, July 17, 2020, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Thursday, July 16, 2020, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Born in Port Arthur, Texas, on July 3, 1990, he was the son of Lonnie Ray Ham, Jr. and Jo Lynn Bendy Salazar. Tyler grew up and attended school in Orangefield and in recent years, worked for Hopkins Construction. He was passionate about his music and was extremely talented. Tyler loved playing his guitar every chance he got. He also enjoyed spending time outdoors, fishing and being at his favorite place, the beach. Above all else, Tyler loved his family, and especially adored his sons, nieces and nephews, his beloved Paw-Paw Ham, who taught him how to play the guitar, and his Paw-Paw Bendy. He was a happy and giving soul who brought joy and laughter to all who were around him. Tyler will always be remembered for his presence and laugh that could light up a room. He will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing and loving him.
He was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Shirley Bendy and Ernest Dean Bendy; his grandfather, Lonnie Ray Ham, Sr.; and his aunts, Dayna “TyTy” Bendy Gill and Theresa Marie Doucet.
Those left to cherish Tyler’s memory include his father and stepmother, Lonnie and Bridgette Ham of Orange; his mother and stepfather, Jo Lynn and Roger Salazar of Orange; his fiancé, Dalee Newsom-Ham; his beloved sons, Huntley Newsom-Ham and Rigdon Newsom-Ham; his grandparents, Johnny Bendy of Bronson, Texas and Carol and Richard Kibodeaux of DeQuincy, Louisiana; his siblings, Christopher Taylor of Vidor, Loni Jo Ham and boyfriend Derick Hopkins of Bridge City, Briana Solis and boyfriend Xavier Moreira of Orange, and Jacelyn Waldrep of Deweyville; his nieces and nephews, Noah Robinson, Myra Robinson, Marlie Robinson, Kenzli Taylor, and Chrislyn Taylor; uncle, Dayle Bendy of Bridge City; as well as his aunt, Terri Fancher and husband, Phil of Kirbyville.
Serving as pallbearers will be Dennis LeBlanc, Matt Duncan, Shelby Gill, Chris Taylor, Trevor Gunn, Derick Hopkins, Noah Robinson, Paul Risk, Austin Ham, and Tyler Cole.
