The City of Orange Economic Development Corporation board is having a closed-door session with Jake Lemoine on his planned construction of a restaurant along the downtown riverwalk.
Nearly two years ago the EDC board and the city council approved a grant of up to $200,000 for Lemoine to build a $1 million restaurant. The grant is reimbursed after construction.
However, Lemoine has not started construction. He has asked for delays for previous deadlines to begin and end construction.
The EDC board will meet at 8:30 Tuesday morning with the city council meeting to follow at 9.
The city council agenda includes awarding a contract for a repaving project on Allie Payne Road.
The council will also have a closed-door executive meeting to get updates on the proposed construction of a $5.3 billion Chevron Phillips chemical plant.
Both groups meet in the council chambers next to the Orange Public Library downtown.
