On September 1, 2019 the Orange County Sheriffs office received a call in reference to a storage unit being burglarized at the All Purpose storage located at 7808 Highway 87 N. The complainant advised four of her storage units had been burglarized with several items being taken. After the initial investigation deputies located and questioned 26 yr old Carl Shaver from Orange and Kali Peveto, a 22-year-old showing a Port Arthur address.
Shaver and Peveto were found to be in possession of stolen property and also in position of identifying information that was not their own.
It was found that almost 20 units have been burglarized and detectives believe they are all related.
The OCSO is looking for any information on anyone that may be connected with these burglaries. Contact the Sheriffs Office if you know anyone that may have been trying to sell TVs, chainsaws, generators, musical equipment, guitars, small electronic devices, cameras, and possibly even furniture. Also, anyone that has storage units at All Purpose should call to see if their unit was one that was broken into.
