Orange County Disaster Rebuild sponsored another Camp Noah this week at the North Orange Baptist Church. The camp allowed the children in this area still recovering from the disaster two years ago to express their feelings as they never had before and have some fun with new friends.
Michelle Tubbleville with Disaster Rebuild said it was a good week for the kids and the volunteers conducting Camp Noah. The camp was attended by 45 local children with volunteers from Pennsylvania conducting the week-long event. Local first responders from the City of Orange and Orange County participated during the camp.
The first Camp Noah in Orange was held last summer within a year of Tropical Storm Harvey hitting the area. “This is what the children needed, and I’m so glad that we able have another camp this year,” Tubbleville commented. A special program with the children concluded the camp on Friday.
