Nathan Hughes is a freshman in Squadron 3 of the Corps of Cadets at Texas A&M University and has been named the Guidon Bearer for his sophomore year.
The Guidon Bearer is an honor bestowed on a cadet who will carry the flag for the Squadron when in formation, training or marching. He was selected by Squadron 3 upper classmen based upon excellence in academics, physical training, leadership, and service.
Nathan is the son of Bill & Anna Hughes of Orange and a 2018 honor graduate of Deweyville High School. He is an Eagle Scout majoring in Animal Science and hopes to pursue a career as a pilot in the United States Air Force.
