The Deweyville Pirates moved to 6-2 in district with a pair of wins over Hull Daisetta in a double header Tuesday night. The Pirates won game one 17 – 1 with Caden Browning as the winning pitcher. John Mayeux, Landen Thompson and Keevin Gordon each scored 3 runs. Ty Collier went 3 for 4, scoring 2, and Dillon Fears was 3 for 5.
Ty Collier was the winning pitcher in game two 16-4. Keevin Gordon, Landen Thompson and Ty Collier each scored 3 runs. Dillon Fears was 2 for 2 with a pair of runs.
Over on the softball field the Lady Pirates beat Sabine Pass 5-3 and now move into a second place tie with the Sharks. Deweyville will play Hull-Daisetta at home April 5.
