Helen Lavern Walles, age 71, of Orangefield, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, January 1, 2019. A memorial service to honor Helen’s life will be held Saturday, January 5, 2019 at 2:00 PM, at First Christian Church of Orangefield, Texas. Arrangements were made under the direction of Dorman Funeral Home.
Helen was born on Wednesday, April 9, 1947 in Alto, Texas to parents, Odie (Goodman) and Carl Gibbins. She had been a lifetime resident of Orange, County. Helen met the love of her life when she crossed paths with Donald Walles. The two were married for 54 blissful years. Helen was a very loving, good hearted woman who loved her family dearly. Her grandchildren were truly the light of her life. She loved to visit and exercise with her friends at the gym. Although they did more talking and laughing than anything else, it made Helen so happy just to go. She enjoyed taking trips to the lake as well as shopping trips. Helen never ever met a stranger and loved everyone.
Helen was a daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend who will forever be loved and missed by all who knew her.
Helen is preceded in death by her parents, Odie and Carl Gibbins, as well as her brothers, DW Carnline and Charles Carnline, brother-n-law Paul Clemons and sister -n- law Joyce Carnline.
Helen is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Donald Walles; daughter, Sandy Fukuda and husband John; son, Ricky Walles and wife Amy; brother, Carl Gibbins and wife Aris; sisters, Verna Harrison and husband Red and Shirley Clemons; grandchildren, Aharon Fukuda and wife Debbie, Samantha Picard and husband Brodie, Emily Lee and husband Scott, Bethany Walles and Cassidy Walles; great granddaughters, Norah Picard and Maddox Walles and great grandson, Carsen Lee.
