Thirteen year old Makenna Carey, an 8th grader at Bridge City Middle School, was selected to the All-American Softball Team for the 2019 Winter Games hosted by Softball Youth in Orlando, Florida. Games will be played Jan 2-5 at the Boombah Sports Complex. Makenna is a pitcher and Second baseman for the 14U GT Shockers Gold team coached by Kevin Shivers. For the All-American games, Makenna will be playing on the class of 2023 Eagles with 11 other girls from all over the nation.
