
A hungry thief grabbed a pizza from a deliveryman Thursday night at the Sunset Grove Apartments on Sunset Drive. Orange police went to the complex about 9:40.
The deliveryman said he knocked on the door of the apartment listed as ordering the pie. However, the occupants said they didn’t order anything.
The deliveryman then started walking back to his vehicle. A young-looking man, tried to cut him off. When the deliveryman said “excuse me,” to pass the man, the man suddenly grabbed the pizza in the hot bag and ran away. The deliveryman was not injured. The hot bag is valued at $100.
Police arrested a 44-year-old woman for disorderly conduct when she shouted curse words even though she was repeatedly warned. The offense is a Class C misdemeanor with a $500 fine.
Orange police went to the Sabine Park Apartments, 111 Pine Avenue, at 6:15 p.m. because of a fight. Officers separated the two people and the woman was told to go to her apartment.
However, police report she shouted and cursed. When asked not to use cuss words, she continued shouting them. People, including children, had gathered and were hearing the words. The officer again asked the woman not to curse. When she continued, she was arrested.
