The green ribbons decorating mailboxes in the Cypress Bayou subdivision aren’t for Christmas. They are a tribute to the men working on Waste Management garbage trucks. The neighborhood decided to honor the men after a traffic accident Monday killed 28-year-old Derrick Cane, who was working on a Waste Management route when he was hit by a car.
Signs have also been put up saying “Cypress Bayou Loves Our Waste Management Crew. Our Thoughts & Prayers Are with You.”
