
The Celebration of Life for Mrs. Patricia Ann Hasley will be Saturday, November 24th, 2018 at 11 a.m. at the Mount Carmel Missionary Baptist Church. Rites of Christian Burial will follow in Magnolia Memorial Gardens under the direction of Sparrow Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 9 until 11 a.m.
Patricia Ann –Woods was born on July 13, 1959 to Mr. & Mrs. Thomas Charles Woods. She went from life to life eternal November 14, 2018.
She was a very strong and determined individual. Despite many obstacles and– her failing health, she was one to keep the faith and keep pushing. She was never the one to complain. When asked “Duck how are you?” her response. “Oh! Duck is Good.”
She loved her children and grandchildren very dearly. She was very close to her sisters, so much so, they were known as “The Golden Girls”. She always had a giving heart. She loved to eat out with family and friends. Everyone knew her favorite food was fried chicken. She was a lady with many titles. Mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend– and – most of all, “a child of God “. She is loved, and –truly will be missed.
She worked home health for more than 20 years. She also worked at “Forever Young Learning Center” as a caregiver. She loved working with children.
She was a very active member of her church, Mount Carmel Missionary Baptist Church. She served on the Usher board and– in the Mission Ministry. She was also a very faithful –worker in the Sunday School department. Even when her health failed, her faith never wavered.
She leaves to cherish her memory her son Rubin Woods, eight grandchildren, Alice’ Woods, Alayna Richard, DaKendric Woods, Daesha Woods, Jeremiah Lister, Keontae Johnson, Jakeirah Simmons and Kulan Woods, two sisters, Diana Garrett and Sharon Scott, two nieces, two nephews, eleven great nieces, seven great nephews, one God child, Roycedria Garrett and one God brother, Joseph Garrick and a host of family and friends.
