Walton Elroy Young, Jr., age 76, of Orange, Texas, passed away on Monday, October 29, 2018. Arrangements for cremation were made under the direction of Dorman Funeral Home.
W.E. was born on Thursday, January 8, 1942, in Orange, Texas to parents, Elsie Marie Girlinghouse and Walton Elroy Young, Sr. He had been a lifetime resident of Orange, Texas and was known and loved by so many people of the community and surrounding areas. He was especially known for riding his bike all over the place, short and long distances. W.E. just truly loved to ride his bike and see the beauties of the world that most people in a moving vehicle don’t get to see. Throughout his life he found ample “road side treasures”. W.E. also loved to fish very often in his younger days and spent much time doing so. At any given time on any given day, you could walk into W.E.’s house and it was guaranteed that he was going to have some type of crime show or live PD on the television. W.E. loved his family very much and truly made the most of his years here with them. W.E. was a husband, father, son, brother, grandfather and friend who will forever be loved and missed by all who knew him.
W.E. is preceded in death by his loving wife of 52 years, Mildred Young; his parents, Elsie Marie and Walton Elroy Young, Sr.
W.E. is survived by his children, Michael Young and Mendy Toole of Chandler, Texas and Stacy Lewis and husband Kyle of Fort Worth, Texas; one brother; four sisters; five grandchildren and one great grandchild due in December.
