The woman whose body was found along FM 1130 early Friday morning, Oct. 19, was probably hit by a pickup truck or Jeep-style vehicle. Orange Detective Captain Robert Enmon said the preliminary autopsy report shows 47-year-old Lisa Ann Lee of Orange was likely hit by a vehicle with a high bumper.
“There’s no evidence she was forcibly put out of a vehicle,” he said.
A passing motorist saw her body along the two-lane roadway and called 911 at 2:18 a.m. Friday. Enmon said her body was on the side of the road and she was wearing all black.
FM 1130 is a winding road with numerous curves between Little Cypress and Mauriceville. Her body was found north of South Teal Road near a curve.
Enmon said numerous public tips have been made to the police department and through Crimestoppers. Investigators have used some of the tips to further the investigation.
