A 47-year-old woman whose body was found in the dark along FM 1130 between Orange and Mauriceville was hit by “something,” but Orange police do not know if her death was intentional or an accident.
“We are looking for anyone to give information to us,” Detective Captain Robert Enmon said.
The deceased has been identified as 47-year-old Lisa Ann Lee of Orange. Enmon said a motorist saw the body and called 911 at 2:18 a.m. Friday. Investigators think she had not been dead long.
“It was pitch black and she was wearing all black,” he said.
The area where she was found is near South Teal Road by a curve. The two-lane road does not have a shoulder and has numerous curves.
Enmon said the death could be an accident and if a vehicle hit Lee, the driver might not have realized they hit a person.
